IndieMusicReviewer was able to check out The Zou, Novakord, & Jungol at The 529 Club in Atlanta, GA on Monday for The Zou & Jungol’s last stop of their fall 2011 tour. They played a total of 14 shows all across the east coast, midwest, and south. All three had spectacular performances. Here are the best few clips of the night.
First in the video: The Zou (Thanks for the plug, btw).
Second band: Novakord
Last: Jungol
Our apologies go out to Jungol for the lack of footage. Our camera’s card was acting funny and was unable to continue shooting video for the rest of the night. Although, we were able to capture a great shot of the crowd! Jungol’s crowd was definitely the largest in attendance and you can tell from the nice applause at the end of the video.
Without further ado, here are our thoughts:
Novakord: You bring the phrase “vocal hotness” to a new level with your synthesized vocal processing and beat matching tricks. A SOLID group with great sounds! It’s like a light acid-trip that leaves you wanting to “fractal out” for a few more hours; your ears are left yearning for more. For those of you who haven’t heard their latest track, check it out at: http://soundcloud.com/novakord/out-there-13 Its mixed by the one and only Willis Sprayberry! Great stuff to come from these guys. Check our Novakord!

The Zou: Thanks for coming through Atlanta and making all other indie bands “beef up” on their tightness. You guys are rehearsed and your high falsetto lead lines and harmonies paired with your megaphone made my night. Not to mention, your cute little keyboard player! Keep cranking out the new tunes and keep us in the loop for your next album.

Jungol: You never cease to impress us! This was YOUR night. And, talk about a GREAT crowd. We stepped outside for a moment to grab a “plug” video from The Zou, and when we stepped back in to see your set, we were literally unable to get in the viewing area for 5 minutes. Guess that’s not a bad problem to have (unless you are this magazine trying to cover your show!) Your Over The Sun and Under the Radar album is one of our favorites of all time and we love that you continue to play those songs. Please keep us in the loop about your next album and we will help you push it to many new fans. We’re glad to see that Atlanta loves you and I’m sure it was great for you to see all of your happy fans cheering you on for the last leg of your tour. See you guys soon!
