Beautiful Disturbance – Deadly Devotion
They say everything is bigger in Texas and I have discovered the next big thing, Beautiful Disturbance. The four piece band from Waco, Texas went big on their EP Deadly Devotion, which contains four huge songs with beautiful melodies, huge guitars, precise bass lines and tribal pounding percussions. Brenda Flores sings with grace and conviction giving the band an edge that is rarely found in local music scenes while Auggie, Belle, and Chris produce a rock solid backing.
Their EP Deadly Devotion starts off with the catchy tune “Nearly Forgotten.” This song is filled with memorable melodies, a chorus that sticks in your head to the point you’ll be singing it at any given moment of the day. The bass lines really give this song a solid foundation as the guitar wails in emotion. “Sleepless Anger” starts off in a state of normal but quickly takes you for a ride down mysterious and almost haunting at times. The third track “Get Me Out” seems to be a battle from within as one struggles with their inner demons. “Get Me Out” is a very strong track that shows some of the bands diversity. The fourth and final track “Love Blind,” is one of the band’s heavier tracks with their trademark sound still intact. This is definitely the track that showcases each members talents and leaves you wanting more.
Beautiful Disturbance have accomplished a lot since they began back in 2010. With the release of the Deadly Devotion EP, they released their first video to which has had well over 12,000 views as I type this. They have opened up national act Straight Line Stitch, they are constantly playing shows all over Texas and I have a feeling they will be playing all over the United States very soon. They have the ‘No Plan B’ attitude and they let everything go in their performances. You’ll be hearing a lot from these guys and gals in the very near future!
